In this week’s not-quite Monday Movie, intrepid filmmaker Jeff Krulik takes us along to the Bowie starting gate, where he shows us horses — including Ted Maher trainee Pleasant Tide — learning how to behave in the gate. Gate schooling is one of the most important lessons that a horse learns, and Bowie’s gate crew does a great job of gentling horses through it.
