In this week’s two-day late Monday Movie, intrepid filmmaker Jeff Krulik introduces us to Berkley Kern: farrier, horse trainer, genuine racetrack character, and, once, actor in a movie. As Berkley shoes a horse, Jeff chats with him about the racing life, and the vid includes Berkley’s acting debut (in a movie called One-Eyed Horse) and the trailer from that movie. Weeks after this was filmed, Kern’s horse, Trappist Monk, scored at Delaware at odds of 30-1!
