Back in April, That’s Amore friend Laurie Asseo blogged about a favorite horse of hers (here). Norjac was an old hard-knocker who’d run 71 times and earned just north of $370,000 in his career, and if he never scaled the highest peaks, he nevertheless was a hard-hitter who turned in solid race after solid race. Because of that, Norjac became a favorite of Laurie and her husband Mike Sniffen, and, working with Mid-Atlantic Horse Rescue, they eventually claimed him to ensure that he would have a happy and healthy retirement. In today’s Monday Movie, from the folks at Mid-Atlantic, Norjac’s getting some exercise and learning how to handle small jumps. These days, Laurie writes, “He looks wonderful, doesn’t he? They’ve found him a forever home and he’ll be going there soon.” One more win for a horse who deserves it.
